Sheep Stell Restoration
As part of the Lammermuir College of Knowledge courses, John Bell taught a few of the Lammermuir locals the finer art of drystane dyking. You can see the final effort on the Duns to Westruther road.

Lammermuir Walking Weekend
The inaugral Lammermuir Walking Weekend was well attended, especially by a few people who had never ventured into this hidden corner of the Scottish Borders. And the weather held long enough for them to see what the hills had to offer, much to everyone's relief! It ended with a 'barn' dance in a marquee on the Whiteadder Picnic Site.

Sailing at the Whiteadder Sailing Club
A cold, wet but extremely fun day was had at the Whiteadder Sailing Club on the Whiteadder Reservoir. A big group of all ages gave the taster session of sailing a try and despite a few falling in, many decided to go back again at a later date. A resouding success!

Getting Ready

Longformacus Book Fayre and Coffee Morning
Sunday, 25th March dawned bright and sunny. This encouraged people to visit the Village Hall for a "browse and blether".
There was an excellent selection of books (ranging from Dick Francis to European Tour Guides, from cook books to classics), DVD's and CD's. Several people happily carried off an armful - no doubt to be enjoyed when the weather is less clement. Even the plant stall did a roaring trade, the herbs proving especially popular. Afterwards there was time for refreshments and a selection of delicious cakes.
All proceeds go towards the Village Hall funds.
Thank you to all concerned.

Sarah-Jane Summers in Concert
The concert was a resounding success and very well attended, and a hog roast was a very welcome addition to the evening. Lets hope there are more to come!
